Unlocking Merlin's friendship quest titled My Kingdom for a Scroll is a key milestone in Disney Dreamlight Valley, bringing players deeper into the mysteries of the valley. To restore order and assist the legendary wizard, players must locate a hidden scroll that Gothel has cleverly concealed. Staying informed with daily gaming news can help players discover essential walkthroughs and quest tips to finish these magical objectives efficiently.
Starting the Quest and Talking to Merlin
To begin this quest, players must first reach the required friendship level with Merlin and unlock Mother Gothel's tree in the Sunlit Plateau or Glade of Trust. Speaking to Merlin reveals that Mother Gothel has taken an ancient scroll containing vital realm information. Merlin tasks you with retrieving the scroll to help continue the restoration of Dreamlight Valley.
After receiving the task from Merlin, head over to the Glade of Trust to confront Mother Gothel inside the Giant Willow tree. Gothel will admit to hiding the scroll but will not give up its exact location easily. Instead, she provides a subtle riddle that points to where the item has been buried in the valley.
Uncovering the Clues and Finding the Scroll Location
The clues provided by Mother Gothel point directly to the Dazzle Beach biome, near the entrance close to the Mystical Cave. Players must equip their Royal Shovel to dig up the glowing dirt mound near the water's edge. Carefully search the sandy shore until the interactable digging spot highlights on your screen.
Using the shovel on the designated glowing spot reveals a buried chest containing the missing scroll. Once you dig up the chest, interact with it to collect the scroll directly into your inventory. Make sure your inventory has enough empty space before attempting to dig up the quest item.
Delivering the Missing Scroll to Complete the Quest
With the scroll safely in your possession, return to Merlin to hand over the recovered item. Merlin will express his gratitude and use the scroll to advance the magical research needed for the valley. Returning the scroll unlocks new interaction options and increases your friendship standing with Merlin.
Completing My Kingdom for a Scroll grants valuable experience points and brings players one step closer to fully resolving the valley's main storyline. Continuing to build friendship with Merlin unlocks further utility spells and key narrative quests throughout your adventure.
